Coupe-SUVs are somehow becoming more and more popular. I have no clue why and how, but that’s simply happening. Since the trend treats to reach starts it’s not any wonder at all why most of the carmakers are deciding to make the oddly-looking cars. For instance, Porsche’s amazing Cayenne SUV that looks sporty enough already is getting a coupe-like sibling in the coming months. Testing prototypes of the upcoming 2020 Porsche Cayenne Coupe have been spied in several occasions earlier, but I never been so close as today.
The prototype which is filmed reveals car’s fastback design in the rear end. The coupe-SUV shares everything in the front with the regular Cayenne, yet it’s totally different story around back, where the model hosts not only the fastback shape but also a set of unique taillights. Of course, the rooflines are additionally sloped, while I also expect some unique styling cues inside as well.
Engine options of the coupe-SUV will most probably mirror the regular Cayenne. The model will feature a 340-hp 3.0-liter turbo as the base options. The mid-range option will be fitted with carmaker’s impressive 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 that squeezes off up to 440 horsepower, while the vanilla version of the 2020 Porsche Cayenne Coupe is going to use the same
The coupe-SUV will make its official debut in the coming months, perhaps even at the upcoming 2019 Geneva Motor Show. This means that the option is going to become available in showrooms before the end of this year. The entry-point model will most probably cost slightly under $70K.
